I am motivated by the people I get to work with and the opportunities to learn that consulting offers.
Aaron brings extensive consulting and hands on management experience. His business knowledge comes from over ten years in senior management at private sector firms and ten years operating his own business consultancy. He has expertise in facilitation, consultation and evaluation. Aaron has over eight years reporting at a board level, six years providing secretariat to boards and five years of board service including three years as a treasurer.
Aaron understands public policy in human services areas, with a record of successful planning and implementation achievements with indigenous, employment, youth and supported accommodation projects. He is knowledgeable in NGO management and service provision. His private sector appointments give him an appreciation of entertainment, media and consumer product distribution and retailing.

Program development
- Australian Foyer model adaptation – identified as a model of Best Practice and Innovation by Australian Government in 2008
- break through youth employment mentoring – awarded for generating youth employment and workforce development
- Create Foundation employment program – recognised Prime Minister's Business and Community Partnership
Marketing and business development projects
- Sega World - Business Development Manager responsible for securing operating locations and conceptual development
- New brand development including OneWorld Sport, Ozone Entertainment and Blastmedia
Project management
- evaluation of Youth Conduct Orders for NSW Depart of Premier and Cabinet using a results based accountability framework to determine the joint impacts of programs targeting underlying causes of youth offending
- review of Self‑Managed Model for Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC). This involved a formative evaluation of a new model of service delivery, offered in programs intended to increase options for participation in community.
- Participatory Action Research Strategy for Ageing Disability and Home Care (ADHC) - the adaptation of research techniques to support continuous improvement in service delivery and support a transition in disability service modes to individualised support
- Sector Planning Framework for Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) introducing a planning approach reform the specialist disability sector.

Executive Director, Live N Learn Foundation (an organisation dedicated to assisting disadvantaged youth achieve independence).
Past employment
Aaron has held senior management roles with Australia Post, Australian Express, EMI, Sega Ozisoft and Rumble Group, with the responsibility for state, product management, business development and commercial management.
Aaron established consultancy partnership Wade Maher and Associates in 1998 which continued until 2010. He was general manager with Live N Learn Foundation from 2002 until commencing with the board in 2008.
Interests
Aaron has an interest in entertainment and especially music, where he has worked in creative and professional capacities. He is pursuing interests in political economics through research into social enterprise and social entrepreneurship. In his spare time he changes nappies.
