Stephanie Bown
Senior consultant

Stephanie is a Senior consultant, working in the Organisational Capability and Leadership and People Development practice areas.

Stephanie has worked as a consultant, facilitator, program designer, and project manager on number of leadership and change programs both with Nous and in previous roles.

Achievements in Stephanie’s career to-date include:

• Consultation and design of a Regional Accountability Framework for a newly formed Victorian Government Department
• Development of implementation processes to support a large business simplification project for an Australian private insurer
• Co-design, facilitation and project management of an ambitious customer focus training program in a large commonwealth government agency as part of an organisation wide change initiative.
• Design and facilitation of a performance management and coaching workshop across middle and senior managers in a leading Australian Energy and Utilities provider
• Project management, design, facilitation and 360-degree debriefing for a leadership development program for ACT Government
• Project management of a complex leadership development program that included the Corrections system as the context for learning for a large Australian bank.

Prior to joining Nous, Stephanie managed a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) based in Melbourne where she was responsible for all aspects of business performance including financial performance, people performance, and business development. A further aspect to her role was the design and facilitation of customised programs based on nationally recognised qualifications in Business, Customer Service, Sales, Retail, and Training.

Stephanie has also contributed significantly to the construction of a test of emotional Intelligence while working with PhD students at Swinburne University, and providing support in the use of the test with key consultants in leadership development programs around Australia.

Stephanie has a First Class Honours in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts – Psychology and Psychophysiology, from Swinburne University of Technology. She is a qualified trainer and assessor (TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment), and an accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) practitioner. She also has Level 1 coaching accreditation from the Institute of Executive Coaching (IEC). Stephanie is currently completing her Masters of Organisation Dynamics at RMIT.
