Anna Moegerlein

Anna has broad experience in education, economic development, social policy and the creative industries.

Project experience

Public policy development

• developed options for the re-designed Victoria's industry engagement arrangements to better facilitate a demand-driven skills market in Victoria
• contributed to a major review of the Victorian screen industry. The project required a comprehensive understanding of the creative sectors, the public policy environment and the economic rigour required to conduct market analysis
• developed a planning sector framework for Ageing Disability and Home Care NSW that provided the foundation for person-centred planning in the disability sector
• developed a suite of program initiatives for Arts New South Wales to leverage the role of arts and disability in the state
• developed an evidence-base on the nature of violence by young women in Victoria, an emerging issue in Victoria and internationally, and provided recommendations to the government.

Strategy

• prepared a report to the vice chancellor of a Victorian university on the strategic position of their international education portfolio
• developed a strategic plan for one of Australia's leading providers of telephone and online counselling services.

Evaluation

• evaluated one of Victoria's major programs for targeting young people at risk of disengaging from school using a program logic model
• evaluated the Victorian Community Support Grants program responsible for over $100 million investment in communities since 2004.

Organisational transformation and leadership

• provided advice to a Secretary of a Victorian government department on opportunities to improve the performance of the organisation through structural redesign
• managed and contributed to the design of a large and innovative program that addresses the new challenges of public service leadership outlined in Ahead of the Game: Blueprint for reform of the Australian Public Service.

• Board Member of Positive Posters, a community-arts organisation.

Past employment

• Internship with the United Nations' agency, The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Vietnam

Interests

Anna loves drawing and painting, and exhibited in Top Arts at the National Gallery of Victoria. She also speaks Spanish and has travelled and studied in South America.
