BA/Consultant

Due to the growth of our Information Management Technology (IMT) team, we are looking for exceptional business analysts/consultants to join our team of talented and passionate people. The IMT practice works with organisations to determine how best to use information and technology to transform business performance and how to build efficient and effective IT capability to meet future challenges.

The role requires someone with an understanding and a passion for looking at technology and how it works with people. The business analyst/consultant will assist Nous consultants across a variety of projects, and be involved in:

  • stakeholder interviews to identify business and technology opportunities and issues
  • collection and analysis of information to evaluate the effectiveness of technology within an organisation
  • maintenance of project quality, highlighting project risks
  • leadership of small projects
  • increasingly independent and complex work
  • contributing to the IMT practice area initiatives and further Nous product development.

Some of the projects may include:

  • development of ICT strategies for government departments or large private companies
  • development of knowledge management strategies
  • review of strategic ICT projects.

The suite services offered in the IMT practice include:

  1. Technology futures – emerging business models that leverage technology, including smart infrastructure applications
  2. Process Innovation – process review and overhaul, optimal design, delivering integrated process change
  3. IMT Strategy – business alignment across information management and technology service delivery, including optimising technology investment
  4. IMT capability- designing organisations, governance and managing transitions.

To succeed in this role at Nous, you will:

  • have a degree in Information Systems or similar
  • be enthusiastic and willing to learn, intelligent and academically accomplished – a distinction average or above is essential
  • be able to structure analyses and undertake them in a logical and efficient manner
  • have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • be well organised and able to run multiple pieces of work in a timely and organised fashion
  • be able to work autonomously in supporting highly experienced colleagues
  • enjoy working with people and organisations to get the best out of technology
  • have a high level of proficiency in computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • ideally have 1 to 3+ years’ experience in business or government.
