What our interns say about us
Myles Pulsford
The nine-month internship that I have recently completed with Nous Group was an amazing opportunity. It exposed me to interesting work, helped me develop my professional skills and allowed me to meet an incredible bunch of people.
As an intern, I was involved in projects across a range of sectors. Each had its own specific challenges, so every day was different. For example, I moved from a project that aimed to better understand the effectiveness of interventions into homelessness, to one in which Nous worked with a number of organisations to improve the implementation of disability support programs.
I was surprised to find that as an intern, I was treated just like another consultant. Not once did I file papers or undertake dull administrative tasks. I was constantly challenged and, as a result, constantly learnt and developed my skills. Nous gave me the opportunity to build client relationships, manage a team, improve my research and quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, and undertake business development. Wherever my career ends up, the skills and attributes that I developed in my time at Nous will undoubtedly contribute to my success.
The people at Nous are clearly what separate the firm from its competitors. ‘Nousers’ come from incredibly varied backgrounds. They bring unique perspectives to their work and are always willing the share the benefit of their experience. Nous’ culture means that everyone is ready, willing and able to invest in your development. Whilst my internship at Nous only lasted nine months, the friendships and networks that I have developed in that time will endure.
