What will I do?

As a graduate consultant you will be thrown (carefully!) in the deep end, but with plenty of support and collegiality. Nous is an empowering professional learning environment, and we believe the best way to learn is by doing. So, you will be ‘doing’ consulting from your first day with us.

What does this mean?

It means you will have an amazing diversity of experience. Based on the experiences of our current grads, you could be: presenting an evaluation framework to a highly respected service provider rolling out life changing programs to people with severe mental illness. writing the final draft of a purpose statement and ‘reason for being’ for a highly respected national broadcaster sitting around the executive table discussing talent management with the head of one of Australia’s defence force agencies and working across the whole organisation to deliver cultural change.

You will be involved in the critical client conversations, and you will be living the Nous values of positive influence and intellectual stimulation. You will work hard and it will be intense. While we don’t work as many hours as other firms, we do expect people to work an average of 50 hours per week. If you’re talking to other firms, get a sense of the hours – they are often up to 70-80 hours per week. We are a task focused firm, with a collaborative, team‑based approach
