Project experience
Organisational design
- developed, implemented and evaluated a community pharmacy professional service, to improve patients' medication compliance across Australia, for the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, through organisation and behaviour change approaches.
- assisted a government organisation deliver sustained changes in ways of working and helped them articulate the vision and purpose of a new branch. This included design and delivery of a two day business planning workshop.
- worked with a large private organisation to review and implement effective governance structures, facilitated workshops and created tools to better align different groups
- organisational effectiveness review, which involved an OEP survey to highlight underperforming elements within the organisation, followed by a series of workshops to identify the drivers of underperformance.
Strategy and evaluation
- evaluated the impact of palliative care guidelines on the provision of palliative care by general practitioners. This involved extensive key stakeholder and general practitioner consultation across Australia.
- evaluated two community pharmacy programs for improving medication compliance
- strategic and business planning for a number of public and private sector organisations.
Health and public policy
- coordinated and facilitated a mental health roundtable process, which drew together clinical experts, academics, health executives, central agency representatives and politicians from across Australia.
- co-facilitated activity mapping sessions within emergency departments, bringing together medical, nursing, clerical and support staff to identify activities, skills and responsibilities required to run an emergency department.

Past employment
Deanna was a Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the National Health Practice for over three years.
Interests
Deanna is a keen softballer, novice baker and self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur. However, much of her spare time at the moment, is spent writing her PhD thesis, at her family’s beach house.
