Deborah has worked on projects with the private, public and not-for-profit sector clients in Australia, Hong Kong and Korea. Her experience spans a range of industries including financial services, energy, education, information technology, government and not-for-profit.

Project experience

Business analysis, program management and implementation

  • led a strategic planning project to align system, processes and people required to achieve the organisations immediate and future aspirations
  • project managed the implementation of new IT systems capability to enable the launch of a new sales channel. Capability included straight through processing (integrated new front end to back end), CRM, reporting tools and data analytics.
  • designed and delivered a new online rewards program to maximise referrals across the retail banking network
  • designed multiple website functionality for private sector and not-for-profit clients.

Organisational design and review

  • designed future‑state distribution business model for sales, customer service and IT teams, including: current / future‑state mapping, gap analysis, scope development, business architecture, and system development
  • undertook an organisational effectiveness review of two teams post restructure and provided immediate and longer term recommendations in identified areas for an Australian energy sector company.

Strategy development and facilitation

  • designed and facilitated focus groups across greater Victoria
  • undertook options assessment and drafted business case for new distribution channel within the financial services sector
  • planned and facilitated national sales and service conference for a big four bank.

Public policy development

  • design and implementation of new visa sub-class for the Department of Immigration (DIAC)
  • drafted DIMIA response to government's '10 Year Plan for Tourism' discussion paper, stating concerns and recommendations to the Minister for Tourism proposed strategy.

Past employment

Prior to joining Nous, Deborah worked as a program manager with AIA (Life Insurance) where she designed and developed a multi-million dollar programme of work. Deborah also spent four years at NAB where she held distribution, marketing and banking positions. Her earlier experience included working with Department of Immigration and vice president of Monash University.

Interests

Deborah is a keen adventure traveller and wherever possible travels the globe to trek, dive or just people gaze. A keen AFL fan she won’t reveal her team for fear of persecution.
