Improving teacher performance - a Grattan Institute report

In May and August of 2011 Nous hosted events in Sydney and Melbourne with the Grattan Institute to present the critical findings from the institute’s report, Better Teacher Appraisal and Feedback: Improving Performance.

Nous Principal Mark Burford hosted the presentation by Ben Jensen, Program Director – School Education and John Daley, the Grattan Institute’s CEO. They discussed the report’s proposal that a new system of teacher appraisal that be instituted that provides constructive feedback to teachers based on a comprehensive appraisal of learning and teaching in classrooms.
