Past employment

Prior to joining Nous Group in 2011, Gillian was director/CEO UnitingCare Ageing, one of Australia’s largest aged care providers.

At UnitingCare, Gillian was accountable to the board for leadership, strategy and operational performance which provided all day care to over 15,000 people with an annual turnover in excess of $415m and 6,500 staff.

During this leadership position, Gillian successfully integrated hundreds of separate services previously operated through 52 local boards into a more unified organisation with fewer regional boards accountable to the UnitingCare Board. This was achieved through the Inspire Strategy 2006-2011 and a new service and operating model  enabled by new investment in IT and workforce capability and improved financial performance.

Prior to this, Gillian held senior executive positions in NSW Government departments including Community Services, Ageing Disability and Home Care, Housing and Premier’s Department.
