Lea works with organisations and their people to build leadership programs that make a difference, deliver return on investment, and support individuals to connect with their organisation and each other. Her capabilities include engaging design and facilitation of conferences, executive leadership programs, team development and coaching.
Lea has senior management experience in the non for profit sector and 15 years’ leadership and people development assignments with public and private clients in insurance, financial services, professional services, human services, immigration, education, energy and defence sectors.
Project experience
Leadership development
- Project director, designer and facilitator on leadership development programs for school principals and senior leaders in rural Victoria. The programs delivered relevant and useful projects to the regions, drove change and lifted performance.
- Project director, co-designer and facilitator for Centrelink Leaders in Context program (CLIC). The programs, developed for senior managers across Australia, built their capacity to lead change and engage their people in a challenging, fast changing environment.
- Co-designer and senior facilitator on the Australian Navy New Generation Navy program. Worked with leaders in Navy to align their leadership practices with the required culture.
- Co-created and facilitated a coaching program for leaders at all levels for the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service and conducted post workshop individual coaching sessions that improved performance and leadership
- Designed and facilitated an interactive conference for 80 Australian Tax Office executives
- Co-designed a transformational change program for the Child Support Agency to support significant changes in the purpose, values and operating practices.
Education / accreditation / board membership
- Currently completing Masters in Business Administration, Deakin University
- Postgraduate qualifications in Special Education, Deakin University
- Graduate Diploma of Teaching, Burwood Teachers College
- Accredited to use the MBTI EIR tool, Belbin Team Roles, and OEP (Organisational Effectiveness Profile) and the Human Synergistics tools – LSI, Leadership Impact and the GENOS Emotional Intelligence tool and coaching process,
Past employment
Lea started her career as a primary school teacher in rural Victoria. Later, she moved into special education where she taught blind and vision impaired teenagers with intellectual disabilities. Lea changed career direction and spent 9 years working for the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind in a range of leadership roles including Director of Services for Adults, where she led and managed services for blind and vision impaired adults across Victoria
Interests
Lea was the first employee of Nous Group (excluding the boss of course!). Nous is her passion. She loves the company, our reasons for being and the work we do. Lea has been on a fascinating journey to help build an organisation that aspires to have a positive influence. She also loves her dogs.
