Project experience
Organisation review
- Organisational effectiveness review of a large state government department, 18 months into their transition to a regional management model. This project entailed significant stakeholder consultation with senior leaders and staff across eight regions, to develop realistic recommendations to ensure further success of this major organisational change.
- Review of the organisation structure and service delivery of a federal government department’s corporate and network cluster. Benchmarking and portfolio mapping was used to develop a variety of structural options which lead to improved operational processes. Process review for a new business initiative of a major Australian bank. Procedures were revised and structural alterations developed as a solution to the identified process breakdown. In-depth stakeholder engagement was supported by strong data to gain a genuine and frank understanding of the organisation’s environment and conflicts within it.
Project management
- Project management of seven pilot leadership and development programs for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Effective communication with the client, the large delivery team and over 200 participants was critical to the design and successful delivery of these programs.
- Project management of a leadership and development program, delivered to two cohorts of leaders in a federal government department during a period of considerable organisational change. Participants were coordinated Australia-wide to engage in a 360 degree feedback process, a four day residential program and ongoing team coaching.
Strategic workforce planning
- Strategic workforce plan and workforce design study for a division of a large federal government department responsible for implementing significant ICT reform. This project entailed deep analysis of the internal and external drivers affecting this agency’s workforce and the implications for its future strategy.
