Project experience
Through extensive experience across all areas of corporate services, Marcus has demonstrated in-depth skills and ability in shared service design, business change management, information and communication technology strategy, business case development and management of major programs of technology-enabled change.
Recently Marcus has:
- completed effectiveness reviews of organisation structures, functions, governance and capabilities to reduce cost and improve satisfaction for both private sector and state government organisations
- led a project to benchmark corporate service delivery across Victorian Government and evaluated shared services options to reduce cost and improve service quality
- interviewed stakeholders and developed briefing papers for the Australian Health Information Council (AHIC) e-Health future directions summit
- developed a business case and the supporting change management program and processes for a major information management project involving state, territory and federal government agencies across Australia
- developed a vision and business case for business intelligence across a major health and human services agency
- develop a business plan for a national organisation that moved the organisation from a subsidised to self-funded model over a three year timeframe
- developed an e-health strategy for a national health organisation
- commenced a three year project to annually benchmark back of house services across twelve not-for-profit organisations
- performed an international environmental scan of leading practice organisations to identify opportunities to improve electronic information exchange with health-care consumers and providers.
- identified the best model for corporate services delivery in the newly created NSW Department of Human Services
- mapped key business processes across a Commonwealth Department, identifying opportunities for improvement and the forward program of work to realise potential benefits
- developed a vision and business case for business intelligence across a major health and human services agency
- developed ICT strategies for many public and private sector organisations.

Marcus brings to each consulting engagement a passion to help organisations solve problems, identify new ways of doing business and realise opportunities that will make a significant difference to their bottom line, their staff or their clients. By drawing upon two decades of business experience and five years consulting experience, Marcus is able to provide strategic and practical advice which makes a real and lasting difference.
