Contact Sophie O’Connor
Sophie has considerable experience providing strategic policy advice to Ministers and senior government officials across various policy areas, with particular knowledge of the education sector.
Prior to joining Nous, Sophie was a senior policy officer at the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet where she worked closely on the Council of Australian Governments’ reform agenda. In this role, Sophie gained an in-depth understanding of intergovernmental relations and the development of national reform initiatives. Specifically, Sophie’s experience and knowledge spans:
- education and training policy
- regulation of the vocational education and training, transport and not-for-profit sectors
- intergovernmental governance, ministerial councils and cooperative federalism.
