For me, it’s about leaving a legacy, no matter how small or large, and continually finding better ways to do something.
Teri’s work combines extensive experience in corporate HR and consulting with strategic business thinking backed up by a highly practical approach. She has extensive experience in leading specialist teams across most phases of the career continuum: selection, development, performance management, leadership and talent management, and career transition. She has also had roles of significant responsibility in change management. Teri’s clients enjoy her pragmatism, insight and sense of humour.
Teri has worked in the corporate and consulting sectors in Australia, Canada and the UK for a wide range of industries including energy and resources, aviation, banking & finance, education and telecommunications. In the public sector she has worked with clients in the Departments of Education and Human Services.
Project experience
Teri has successfully designed and managed leadership development solutions for a number of iconic Australian and global organisations, which included skill and behaviour gap analyses and customised adult learning journeys. She has led a number of strategic people initiatives, including:
Project direction
- Scoped and directed the national leadership development program for the newly formed Department of Human Services involving a Nous team of 10 and multiple DHS stakeholders. The program was designed to provide first line leaders with a common language and approach to leading the integration and co-location of services involving Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support, and has been rolled out to 1,000 participants around Australia
- Led and actively participated in the business restructure of an iconic Australian airline, including the design and delivery of a best practice assessment, selection and development methodology for Executive through to Mid-Management roles, which directly impacted over 400 individuals. Teri was a representative of the Executive Committee responsible for designing and delivering the message of change to stakeholder groups across Australia
- Leading a small, specialized consulting team, Teri designed and led the support for a major restructure and downsize of an iconic Australian university involving both academic and business leaders, that affected over 200 individuals.
Facilitation and coaching
- Mentored, coached and facilitated group sessions with academic heads of faculty and general managers on all aspects of leading and communicating change for a large, internationally recognised Australian university during their restructure and voluntary redundancy program
- Designed and delivered the Career Development session for Mount Eliza Business School Graduate MBA program
- In the last 10 years, Teri has facilitated over 100 change management, career management and leadership development programs to audiences ranging from graduates through to senior executives.

- Teri has held senior corporate leadership roles including general manager and director, responsible for business growth, profitability and leadership of highly qualified consulting teams.

Teri has worked in leadership roles in both corporate and consulting environments, for companies that include Suncor Ltd (Sun Oil), Coles-Myer, Ansett, Westpac, Telstra, Lee Hecht Harrison and a boutique leadership development consulting firm.
Interests
Teri's interests are rather eclectic, and range from yachting to theatre production. She's conscious of not letting her competitive spirit get in the way of a laugh, and loves the fact that she can call Australia home after immigrating from Canada 25 years ago.
