30+ year vision for Tasmania's electricity transmission grid

Nous engaged all key stakeholders including government, generators, distributors and major customers, to develop scenarios and associated network development plans, including a possible second cable to the mainland. Nous carried out a comprehensive strategic analysis which identified key long term network planning requirements for backbone upgrades and route diversity and worked with Transend staff to deliver an initial high level outline of network development options. Nous' analysis was used by Transend in its 2009-2014 revenue submission to the AER and has been credited with increasing Board member understanding of the issues.
