Business case for additional funding for police force system replacement

A state police force engaged Nous to develop a business case to replace the computer system that supported crime related policing.

The system was 20 years old and the subject of repeated unfavourable media coverage. Starting with an exploration of the nature of policing over the next 20 years, Nous worked with the Police’s Business Information Technology and Systems executive team and the state government’s Office of the Chief Information Officer to deliver the business case in ten weeks. Nous used tight project governance, focused stakeholder engagement and detailed financial modelling to rapidly identify and articulate the project benefits.

Nous’s deep technical understanding and awareness of political sensitivities were key success drivers. The Nous business case earned the full confidence of stakeholders and was successful in winning implementation funding.
