Enhanced leadership capability for a federal agency division

The Cargo Division of Australian Customs and Border Protection Agency (Customs) engaged Nous to facilitate the set up component of their internal leadership conference in November 2010.

The two day workshop was delivered to 30 participants ranging from EL2 to SES Band 1 level. The conference was aimed to position the Cargo Division for the future through enhancing their leadership capabilities, building relationships and addressing current challenges the division is facing. The facilitator's role was to create a fun environment, build energy and ensure 'the role of leaders' was front and centre for the two days. This was done through an experiential activity and leading research into what followers want.

Participants responded positively to both sessions and the objectives of the overall conference were met.
