IT function to improve individual accountability and focus on service delivery

The Department of Treasury and Finance (Vic) engaged Nous to review the structure and capability of its IT function to meet the changing demands of its multiple client departments in the context of recently renegotiated outsourcing. The project involved a high level assessment of client needs, leading to the development of a ‘straw man’ structure and service catalogue for discussion. Nous led all consultations with key stakeholders to further develop the proposed model and foster support for, and understanding of, the recommendations. Key outcomes included improved individual accountability through a new organisation structure, increased focus on service delivery according to a number of key metrics and the architecture and security functions, and a roadmap for project implementation.
