Provision of e-health investment recommendations to two state governments

Two state government agencies pay more than $500 million for health services each year using systems that do not support a partnership model of care for clients and healthcare providers. Nous was engaged to complete a global environmental scan of e-health solutions seeking knowledge of innovative e-health initiatives to guide their future investment. Nous reviewed e-health initiatives in 19 leading local and overseas organisations and found that best practice systems help clients navigate the healthcare market and available treatment options to achieve better health outcomes. We identified 11 high value opportunities to improve health service outcomes locally and built a static web site to demonstrate the potential value and build shared understanding and engagement of senior management. Nous' findings shaped the agencies' future ICT strategy.
