Review of university’s education strategy to balance stakeholder expectations

The Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) and a dual sector tertiary education institution jointly engaged Nous to review the university's regional education strategy.

The university was considering shifting its higher education load from its regional campuses to focus on its core campuses. Nous reviewed this decision by analysing detailed written documentation, conducting site visits and consulting with over 20 key stakeholders including all levels of government, key thinkers in education policy, community and the university.

Nous found that the university's decision was sound but could be better communicated, and government could better support the strategy. The review was endorsed by the university's chancellor and by the Deputy Secretary of Skills Victoria.
