Alignment of division's strategic priorities with government policy

Nous was engaged by the Urban Water Policy Division (UWPD), within the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), to undertake a review of the divisions' work program and the alignment of its strategic priorities to the government's overarching water policies. The brief was to provide clear recommendations on division structure, based on resources, interdependencies and workforce capabilities.

A series of structured interviews with executive directors, divisional directors, and a focus group with staff, were undertaken. A detailed analysis was completed, which highlighted several key recommendations, including changes to the organisational structure of the division, clarification of the work program and positioning of the division with key stakeholders.

These were implemented by the client.
