Corporate ICT plan maximises post-merger synergies
Following a merger of two large energy sector companies and subsequent sale of selected business units to meet regulatory requirements, the buyer's corporate ICT function faced extreme challenges of integration, separation, structural redesign, cultural alignment and resource planning. The CIO engaged Nous to provide independent expert advice on predicted resource levels and mix (employees/contractors/consultants) and general advice on integration strategy. Nous presented findings and recommendations to the CEO and full executive team and facilitated discussion of potential risks and capability gaps. The Nous methodology established a shared understanding and a strong CIO/executive partnership approach to the challenge, defining a clear methodology to achieve merger synergies.
