Evaluation of a department's transition to regionalisation

Nous was engaged to evaluate this state government department's progress in transitioning to regionalisation 18 months into the project. We were also asked to make recommendations for enhancing effectiveness and overcoming any blockers. The evaluation involved thorough engagement with a range of stakeholders, including interviews with over 30 senior leaders and 18 regional workshops. We also reviewed documentation such as performance against KPIs before and after the transition, but recognised that it was too early to formally assess client outcomes. A number of recommendations were proposed to firstly enhance current progress in this large change initiative and ultimately maximise the impact of regionalisation on positive client outcomes.
