Evaluation of the CFGA and BIGC programs (Capital grants to growth corridor councils)

The Department of Planning and Community Development engaged Nous to evaluate a capital grant program, and supporting materials, for the rapid growth councils of metropolitan Melbourne.

The evaluation occurred very early in the life of the program. A program logic approach was taken to establish the parameters of the evaluation. Data collection included interviews with DPCD staff, growth council managers and a number of community worker interviews. 

The final report concluded that the indications to date show positive results in the anticipated areas. Five case studies provide a fresh qualitative evidence base for the evaluation.
