Investment framework for capability development

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) engaged Nous to improve its approach to investment in the development of capabilities required to deliver on strategic and policy priorities.

Nous worked with DEECD to develop a simple but powerful investment framework that featured three interlinked components: information, human and organisational capital. Extensive consultation with executive officers identified investment focal points for each component.

The resultant framework is being used to drive implementation of initiatives that will progressively position DEECD as an even more effective organisation and a leader in its field. This framework is one of the most sophisticated and contemporary approaches to organisational capability building being adopted by any like governmental organisation in Australia.
