IT capability boosted for rapidly changing media delivery environment

A national broadcaster engaged Nous to evaluate the impact of a rapidly changing media landscape with changing audience expectations on the IT delivery function.

This included assessment of the requirements of a transition to computer based content production and a migration from analogue to digital transmission. Nous investigated the IT function's structure, capability, processes and accountability mechanisms, and assessed risks to the business within the changing environment. Following stakeholder engagement across the organisation through interviews, staff survey and workshops, Nous recommended that the organisation develop the IT function in three ways: strengthen their capability in strategic thinking, establish rigorous structures to assess and deliver investment in IT and improve several key IT processes.

The report was endorsed by the Executive and the changes implemented successfully.
