Leadership team supported to set strategic direction
The CEO of a Victorian energy company engaged Nous to support the executive leadership team (ELT) through an 'action learning' process to set the strategic direction for the company. This included the mission, vision, values, strategic priorities and objectives. Nous:
- Provided technical expertise to the ELT, for example options strategic frameworks, leading thinking around organisational purpose, etc.
- Facilitated key workshops and discussions by the ELT.
- Provided a sounding board for emerging thinking.
- Developed the skills of individual ELT members and the functioning of the ELT as a group, including though diagnostics (Belbin team roles) and direct feedback and coaching.
- Drew on additional Nous expertise as required, including senior energy industry expertise to provide a strategic perspective on draft thinking.
Nous delivered individual, team and organisational benefits to the company, which is now well placed to execute the ambitious strategic agenda it has set through this process.
