Organisational culture study forms basis for change
Nous was engaged to conduct an organisational review of a state planning agency. The review identified that significant cultural change was required to support the organisational reforms required of the agency. Nous was subsequently invited to work with the executive team to complete a more detailed study of the organisation's culture and recommend how to achieve cultural change.
The Human Synergistic Organisational Culture Inventory (OCI) tool was used to measure staff perceptions of the agency's current and desired culture. All 160 staff were invited to complete the survey. Nous subsequently conducted two workshops with the executive team to generate an action plan in response to the results as well as presenting the findings to all staff.
This project provided the basis of a subsequent organisational change process that has reshaped the way the agency delivers on its key role in leading the state's planning system.
