Revision of benefits and potential identified for a critical client management system

Nous was engaged to identify the benefits realised from a major system implementation and develop a Benefit Management Plan for regular State Treasury reporting. The system was approved for development in 2002 with the objective of improving support to four core departmental programs (child protection, youth justice, early childhood intervention and disability services). At implementation, business benefits were delivered but these were not clear or quantified.

Nous assisted in confirming external benefits in improved confidence in community services, increased accountability, improved service quality and a foundation for evidence-based policy development. Nous also helped identify internal benefits through a reliable case management platform, improved risk management, strengthened relationships with service partners, streamlined processes, improved data accuracy and robust data security.

Nous developed a Benefit Management Plan with Key Performance Indicators and templates for regular reporting to State Treasury. Nous also collated the learning's and insights from the system implementation.
