Leadership development
Nous works hard to understand an organisation’s needs and identify the leadership capabilities required to translate strategic intent into real outcomes. Our leadership development programs are designed to focus people’s attention on the issues that hit the bottom line and to challenge them to deliver solutions through their people. We provoke, support and engage leaders to ensure results and a positive return on investment. Our aim is to make a difference. We use a combination of face-to‑face workshops, real business challenges, diagnostics, coaching, case studies, debate and a myriad of other techniques to drive positive changes in thinking and behaviour.
Positive workplace climate
The hard ‘people’ issues such as employee engagement, commitment, safe work practices and a healthy work environment are often acknowledged but not consistently addressed due to their complex and challenging nature. These issues hold your team, business lines and organisation back from realising their full potential and being truly effective. Nous’ positive workplace climate programs develop leaders’ skills and confidence in tackling these issues. Our tailored programs equip your leaders and their teams to deal with these challenges and enable them to be more efficient, effective and free to focus on what is really important – delivering results.
Change and transformation capability
Shifting culture and successfully transforming organisations requires effort, insight and expertise. Nous works with organisations as a culture change and transformation consultant (see Culture, change and engagement) and to develop their culture and transformation capability. We develop leadership strengths that focus on business strategy and engagement, and provide tools to understand organisational culture, which is the starting point for any cultural evolution.
Nous has worked with organisations to develop their change capability, diagnose culture and design and support change agendas, including large scale training and transformation workshops. We work with executives and leaders to ensure consistent communication and role-modelling, and link behavioural change to performance measures to ensure change endures.
Management skills development
The skills that managers apply on a daily basis underpin an organisation’s performance. Nous works with clients to design and deliver a range of tailored programs to develop core managerial skills. These include coaching and feedback; performance management; engagement; communication; process improvement; strategic thinking and cracking problems; and leading and managing change. We strive to develop self-awareness using a range of diagnostic and feedback tools including 360˚ feedback questionnaires and expert debriefs; Human Synergistics’ Life Styles Inventory (LSI); Myers Briggs Type Indicator (Expanded Interpretive Report); and Gallop’s Strengths Finder. We shape our management skills programs and the use of diagnostics within them to address your organisation’s specific objectives and challenges.
