Strategic plan and organisational structure for resource centre

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) engaged Nous to develop a three year strategic plan and an organisational structure to support plan execution. The ASRC's previous planning efforts had met with limited success and staff were concerned that the introduction of additional organisational structure would negatively impact the centre's collaborative, flexible work environment. We engaged in a highly consultative planning process that included 10 workshops with staff, ASRC leaders and the board. This resulted in a plan that was well supported by staff at all levels, a well considered structure proposal, and a greater willingness amongst staff to adopt structural change. Unsolicited feedback throughout the process was overwhelmingly positive with staff indicating that this was the ASRC's most successful planning effort to date.
